Start the tour in the morning to visit the landmark of Jakarta, the National Monument (Monas) with 132 meters height and 50 kgs gold at the top of the monument. This monument was built to commemorate the stuggle of Indonesian Independence.

Next stop will be National Museum, the biggest museum in Indonesia with various collections since the old statuary. Established by Dutch and was opened on 1868, this museums offer excellent collections of history, archeology, and more with the masterpiece collections of gold treasury.

After visit the Museum you will continue to visit Istiqlal mosque and Katedral church. Both icons of Indonesian unity in diversity. Istiqlal Mosque is the grand mosque and the biggest in southeast Asia. Katedral church is the old catholic church with art deco style. Katedral church and Istiqlal mosque was good perception how important religion to the people of Indonesia.

Next stop is Batavia old town. This is historical place built by the Dutch and this place is remainder of the colonial time. Here you will visit the Fatahillah square and walking along the canal to see the historical buildings. There is also museum of Jakarta history and puppet museum located at the square.

The last visit will be Sunda Kelapa harbour. The city old habour located in the head of Jakarta. This harbour is the first used by Portuguese and Dutch when they arrived in Jakarta. This is one of historical site and still using for domestic cargo where you will see the traditional Indonesian wooden ship called Phinisi.

Jakarta Half Day Tour

This is half day Jakarta city tour with duration only for 4 or 5 hours. This tour is special for the first time visitors and for the travelers who has limited time in Jakarta.

Start the tour by visiting Merdeka square, stop at the National monument for picture only and having little walk. And continue sighseeing of President palace, Istiqlal Mosque, Katedral church, Jakarta city hall, and goverment buildings at the square.

Next you will continue to visit the Jakarta China town. You will visit the oldest Chinese temple (Dharma Bakti temple) or popular with name “Petak Sembilan” and walking tour at the traditional market at China town where you can see and enjoy the view of the sellers and the people with their local products such as vegetables, fruits, fish, food and beverages, and some local and unique stuff from Indonesia.

Afterwards you will continue to visit the old city (Dutch City). Enjoy the Fatahillah square (the old city hall of Jakarta), this square was historical place built by the Dutch and remainder of the colonial time. There is also Puppet museum and Jakarta History museum at this square. You will visit the puppet maker and watch the short performance of shadow puppet.

The last stop is Sunda kelapa harbour. Enjoy boating at this harbour along the canal with the view of Phinisi boat. This harbour was historical site and still using for domestic cargo.
